Week-long Rain Saturates the Area:

Fairfield, CT – Rain, rain and more rain was the forecast for the week of May 16, and rain it did. Inch upon inch accumulated in low lying areas, caused local flooding, stopped up storm drains and sent high tides cascading over seawalls.

On occasion, Mother Nature paused to gather her strength, allowing area residents to go about their business, dry off and wipe down their cars. Patch wandered out during one of these rain hold-ups, to take in a landscape of puddled road surfaces, saturated seabirds and spectacular blooming plant life.
